In Presov Support Centre Paul and Karen had a warm meeting with a nice team that have been working there. And as one of the main services provided in this centre is the hot meal for people, after the meeting Paul and Karen had an opportunity to take part in cooking the Ukrainian national dish – borshch. After cooking, they helped the staff to distribute the dish to all Ukrainian refugees who came to that centre (around 50 people). They were very excited about the process and also were pleased to greet and to communicate with almost every Ukrainian that visited the centre that day. As Friday is a day of the distribution of humanitarian aid to refugees in Presov, Paul and Karen were also able to see this very process. There were a lot of people that came to receive this aid. Paul and Karen also expressed regret and sympathy to every Ukrainian.
After visiting the Support Centre in Presov, Paul and Karen had a meeting with the Director of Archdiocesan Charity in Kosice – Cyril Korpesio. They met in Kosice Support Centre for Ukrainian refugees that was opened at the beginning of June. Mr. Korpesio expressed the sincere gratitude to the guests for their support in such a good cause in such a difficult time for Ukraine. Karen and Paul had also an opportunity to make acquaintance with Kosice support centre team and to get to know with the services and activities this very centre provides for Ukrainian emigrants. Archdiocesan Charity in Kosice was very pleased to meet our Hawaiian guests. Hope this meeting and cooperation will not be the last one.
