Arcidiecézna charita Košice otvorila v poradí tretie Centrum podpory nápomocné pri integrácii a sprevádzaní odídencov z Ukrajiny, tentokrát práve v metropole východu. Centrum podpory Košice sídli na Moyzesovej ulici 24, kde pracovný tím pozostávajúci z odborných pracovníkov poskytuje nielen psychosociálne sprevádzanie, hľadanie práce, humanitárnu pomoc, ale aj kreatívne voľnočasové aktivity.
„V Centrách podpory máme príručné sklady s humanitárnou pomocou, kde nájdu prevažne matky s deťmi všetko čo potrebujú – trvanlivé potraviny, drogériu, plienky a rôzne iné potreby. Poskytujeme psychologickú pomoc, to znamená, psychologičky, ktoré ovládajú ich jazyk, poznajú ten región a problémy, ktoré sami zažívali vo vojnovom konflikte. Následne hľadanie práce pre týchto ľudí, opatrovanie detí, ak si nájdu prácu a potrebujú výpomoc so starostlivosť. V týchto centrách budú aj jazykové kurzy,“ priblížil Cyril Korpesio, riaditeľ Arcidiecéznej charity Košice.
Otvorenie Centra podpory sa konalo za účasti a požehnania Mons. Bernarda Bobera, košického arcibiskupa-metropolitu: „Oceňujem, že práve v tomto čase vznikol tento projekt, pochopiteľne, za pomoci aj štátu, pretože štát bude musieť byť spolutvorcom podmienok týchto našich centier a že bude hľadať spôsob a prostriedky na to, aby to centrum mohlo pracovať a plniť práve to poslanie, ktorým je predovšetkým integrácia.“ Košický arcibiskup-metropolita pripomenul, že práve charity boli medzi prvými organizáciami, ktoré podali pomocnú ruku odídencom.
Arcidiecézna charita Košice dokázala v Košiciach vytvoriť pracovné podmienky pre 8 pracovníkov z Ukrajiny. Psychologičky, pedagogičky aj kreatívne umelkyne sú nápomocné pri aktivitách centra. Okrem pracovných pozícii zabezpečuje odborné vzdelávanie pre ukrajinské zamestnankyne. „Charita zorganizovala dvojdňový psychosociálny tréning, ktorý poskytol základné zručnosti, ktoré aktuálne potrebujú ľudia pracujúci s vojnovými utečencami. Ďalšie vzdelávanie prebieha online formou pod vedením skúsených odborníkov zo zahraničia. Práve psychologická podpora, pomoc pri hľadaní práce a opora sú dôležitými potrebami ukrajinských žien a detí,“ dodáva Silvia Hrabčáková, koordinátorka centier podpory.
Arcidiecézna charita Košice dočasne vytvorila pracovné miesta pre 25 ukrajinských odídencov. Tí sú nápomocní v 4 Centrách podpory v Košiciach, Prešove, Snine a Michalovciach. Centrum podpory Košice je súčasťou spoločného projektu jednotlivých arcidiecéznych charít na Slovensku pod záštitou Caritas Slovakia.
Archdiocesan Charity in Kosice has opened the third Support Centre to help integrate and accompany residents from Ukraine, this time right in the metropolis of the East. The Kosice Support Centre is located at 24 Moyzesova Street, where a working team consisting of professionals provides not only the psychosocial support, job search assistance, humanitarian aid, but also creative leisure activities.

„In the Support Centres we have manual warehouses with humanitarian aid, where mostly mothers with children will find everything they need – durable food, drugstore, diapers and various other needs. We provide psychological help, that is, psychologists who speak their language, know the region and the problems they themselves experienced in the war conflict. Subsequently looking for work for these people, caring for children if they find work and need help with care. The opening of the Support Centre took place with the participation and blessing of Mons. Bernard Bober, Archbishop-Metropolitan of Kosice: “I appreciate that it is at this time that this project was created, of course, with the help of the state, because the state will have to be a co-creator of the conditions of our centres and that it will look for ways and means for the centre to work and fulfil the very mission – above all integration. The Archbishop-Metropolitan of Kosice reminded that charities were among the first organizations to lend a helping hand to the residents from Ukraine.
Caritas has created working conditions and training for employees
Archdiocesan Charity of Kosice was able to create working conditions for 8 employees from Ukraine in Kosice. Psychologists, pedagogues and creative artists are helpful in the centre's activities. In addition to job positions, it provides vocational training for Ukrainian employees. „ Caritas organized a two-day psychosocial training that provided the basic skills currently needed by people working with war refugees. Further education will take place online under the guidance of experienced experts from abroad. Psychological support, job search assistance and support are important needs of Ukrainian women and children, “added Silvia Hrabčáková, support centres coordinator. The Archdiocesan Charity of Kosice has temporarily created jobs for 25 Ukrainian residents. They are helpful in 4 Support Centres in Kosice, Presov, Snina and Michalovtse. Support Centre in Kosice is a part of a joint project of individual archdiocesan charities in Slovakia under the auspices of Caritas Slovakia.
